Sanson, a senior that has been a State qualifier three straight years, went 5-0 in the 135 pound weight class at Vassar and recorded his 150th career win. He currently holds the career record for wins at Brown City. Sanson, now at 153 victories, is 17-4 overall this season.

"He's just now at 135 (pounds), but has been wrestling up at 140, 145," noted BC coach Jim Blake. "He's wrestled (Donnie) Corby (Cros-Lex, unbeaten) twice and (Jordan) Hayward (Marlette, 19-1), and he's wrestled up because he wants the tough competition. He did not do as well as he'd like, but it's because he is a 135 pounds and they're 145."

Senior Andrew Bennett (12-4), at 152 pounds, also went unbeaten in five matches for BC, including four pins.

Coach Blake commented, "Bennett didn't wrestle last year. But, he decided to come back out and he's doing a pretty good job."

The Devils had three other wrestlers go 4-1 on the day – Raymond Bandemer at 125, Bill Alcorn at 145, and Marcos McDonald at 160. r

Brown City was 2-3 in the team tournament and tied for third place. The host Vulcans captured the first place trophy while Bullock Creek was second.
