ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Concordia University-Ann Arbor's (CUAA) Courtney Willis (Jr. - Port Sanilac, Mich.) shot 67 percent from the field and knocked down 10 free throws as she guided the Concordia women's basketball team to a 79-68 win over Madonna University. For her efforts, Willis was recently named the women's basketball Player of the Week for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC)

The win was particularly significant for the Cardinals as they matched the highest conference win total in the history of the program with its fifth victory. Concordia has two games remaining in the regular season to break the record.

Willis transferred to Concordia after playing two years at St. Clair County Community College. She was a standout on the CPS High School team prior to playing at SC4. In 16 games this year, Willis has averaged nearly eight points and five rebounds a contest.
