Building a city of cardboard

More than 200 high school students from Sanilac County participated in last weekend's Cardboard City on the courthouse lawn in Sandusky.

Sponsored by the Youth Advisory Council, the annual project is expected to raise upwards of $20,000 for services to prevent homelessness and to aid the homeless.

These students from Brown City High School are constructing a cardboard shelter Friday afternoon.

Dedicated students and adult chaperones spent a rainy Saturday night in the makeshift city.
