Pooch parade raises cash

An estimated 100 dogs and many humans participated in Saturday's 5th Annual Mutt Strut.

The event in downtown Sandusky raised approximately $5700 for the Sanilac County Humane Society.

Grand Marshals "Teena" -- a rescued dog -- and owner Peggy Vermander of Lexington lead the parade with Peggy's sister Gail Vermander (left) of Leonard and Humane Society volunteer Teena Kuhlman of Carsonville (right).
