Sandusky 5th graders conducted a mini Relay for Life last Friday, in honor of a former classmate who died from cancer. Students made 92 luminary bags, which are being sold for $10 each to raise money for the Sanilac County Relay for Life June 9-10 in Sandusky. To purchase a bag, which can be brought to the candle lighting ceremony June 9 at 9 p.m. at the fairgrounds, call Vicki Eggert at 810-648-2751. Friday's event honored the memory of Emily Woltman, who passed away in 2006.
