Junior Kayla Brown was one of the big sparks in the two wins over Ubly. She had three doubles and drove in three runs for the doubleheader. "Kayla Brown hit two balls that would have been over the fence at our place. Ubly has no fences," noted Titus. Senior Kayla Thompson, winding down a great four-year career on the varsity, went 3-for-5, with a double, in the opener and helped start a six-run first inning. Jenna Thompson, Jenna Lange and Kelsey Germain added two hits each. In the nightcap, Kayla Roberts had two singles and Lange and Katie Clark each contributed a double. Junior hurler Caity King was the winner in both games, fanning a total of 22 Bearcat batters. The Lady Raiders host Bad Axe in a GTC crossover doubleheader today (Wednesday before entering Div. 3 District play at Frankenmuth next week. |
