Jessica Christian Callender, 16, of Snover was driving north on Town Line Road on June 7 at around 11:50 p.m., when she swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway and entered the northbound ditch. Deputies noted the road was muddy from a steady rain. Alcohol was ruled out as being a factor of the accident.

Two female passengers, Marisa Jean Landsburg, 16, of Sandusky and Julie Marie Callender, 14, of Snover were taken by private vehicle to McKenzie Memorial Hospital in Sandusky and treated for moderate injuries, deputies reported.

The driver and two male passengers, William Lee Buskirk, 14, of Sandusky, and Allen James Pratt, 16, of Snover were not injured.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Sandusky Fire Department. The accident occurred north of Snover Road.
