Five youngsters are participating in the contest sponsored by the Sandusky Chamber of Commerce. Canisters have been placed in the Sandusky District Library for donations. It's a penny a vote - and paper money, coins and checks are accepted. Winners will be announced June 23, 2 p.m., at the gazebo on the courthouse lawn.

The contestants are Brennan Osborn, 4 1/2, son of Harold and Jennifer Osborn; Haley Rae Barren, 5, daughter of Heather Barren and Dominic Scott; Lauren Flanagan, daughter of Michael and Laura Flanagan; Emily Tribula, 5, daughter of Sara Tribula; and Alexa Gazda, daughter of Kirk and Christine Gazda.
