State Police Trooper Michael Katz investigated the crash that occurred Sunday around 5:55 p.m. on M-25 near Deckerville Road.

Geneva Schutt, 25, of Lexington was traveling north on M-25 in a 2001 Chevy Blazer when she attempted a left turn. Schutt turned in front of a south-bound 1999 Toyota car driven by Jean Scott, 59, of Davison.

The vehicles collided, forcing Scott to leave the highway, travel through the parking lot of a BP gas station where she missed two motorcyclists at a gas pump, and hit a tree, according to Katz.

Scott's passenger, Amy Scott, 23 also of Davison was injured and transported by Port Sanilac EMS to Deckerville Hospital. The injuries were non-life threatening. Alcohol was not considered a factor in the crash.
