A total loss

The Croswell and Lexington fire departments in Sanilac County and the Burtchville and Grant fire departments in St. Clair County all responded to a fire at 8130 Wildcat Road in Worth Township shortly after 2 p.m. on July 29.

The owners, Dana and Gerald McNally, were away when the blaze destroyed their modular home. Croswell Fire Chief Tom Dickensheets said an insurance investigator will determine the cause of the blaze, but it is believed to have been accidental.
