Central Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting what appeared to be a dead woman lying next to her van on Cedar Street near 6th Street at about 10:40 p.m.

Sheriff deputies and detectives investigated and discovered Linda K. Catalano had gotten out of her 1997 Chrysler Town & Country van to pick up some garage sale signs apparently without putting the mini van in park. Witnesses found the van running and in reverse with the door open and Catalano pinned underneath it.

The police were assisted by Eastern Huron Ambulance.
