The Redskins opened up play last Thursday in the GTC East, where they are defending champions, with a 7-1 bopping of Caseville.

Sandusky started the season with losses in four GTC crossover matches.

"We got that first goal early in the game and that just seemed to give us a little more motivation," remarked Paul Stockwell, co-head coach of the Redskins.

Senior Sam Stevens led the scoring onslaught with three goals and two assists. Trent Ward added two goals and Jose Cardenas and Patrick Chappus each added one goal. Ward also had two assists while Mike Lowry and Xavier Peplinski each added one. Bobby Irland recorded 15 saves.
