Sandusky Police Chief Paul Cowley said strong wings snapped the limb off a tree in the side yard of a house at the northwest corner of S. Elk and Bridgehampton streets around 12:15 p.m.

Two pickups southbound on Elk were struck. The limb broke the front windshield and damaged the cap and box on a pickup driven by Mitchell Badgerow of Sandusky. The truck behind Badgerow, driven by Kevin Butler of Sandusky, sustained limb damage to the grill.

Police closed the street for about 45 minutes, while DPW crews removed the limb that fell across the road.

There were no injuries.
